The best connection between the island and the mainland is by the ferries of the Rapska plovidba d.d., a small local shipping company, that operates between the mainland Jablanac and Mišnjak on the southern coast of the island. The crossing takes 12 minutes only and it is ensured throughout the year. During summer months, another ferry service is available – the one between Lopar on the northern shore of the island and Baška on the island of Krk, lying to the north of it; the journey takes about an hour.
